KARAOKE DYED TOP MADE FROM 50% SOY SILK AND 50% WOOL.  YOU ARE PURCHASING 4 OUNCES OF THIS IS WONDERFUL FIBER!

This is a very versatile fiber, it has the soft and silky feel of the soy silk and the wool just makes it woderful! I spun some up and I did a navajo three ply and ended up with 25 yards of three ply yarn in 7 grams or 1/4 ounce. It spins easily into a fine lightweight knitting yarn with little effort. This fiber would make wonderful socks or scarves or sweaters or fabrics for anything!
SPINNING SOY SILK If you enjoy spinning silk or Tencel, you will find the same pleasure spinning this new fiber. With a staple length between three and four inches, a fine fiber diameter and surface that allows the fibers to slide past each other, drafting this material to the thickness you want is easy. Split the roving to a pencil thickness and spin from this. Keep your hands at least four inches apart due to the fiber length. Draft the fibers to the thickness you want before allowing any twist into the fibers which will lock them together. Ply to produce a balanced yarn. (The advice on how to spin came from Jonelle at Southwest Trading Company) I have spun it in a lightweight yarn for lace and a sportweight yarn for sweaters.
