Silk Clouds are 100% Silk with The Silk being 93% Tussah Silk and 7% Recycled Sari Silk noils. The noils are what give the silk batts their texture and character. Each batt is weighed and is 26-28 grams or about 1 ounce. The white in the silk batts is undyed but bleached Tussah silk. The sari silk I use comes dyed and shredded and is very very soft. I hope you enjoy spinning these batts into yarn as much as I do. I also like to ply the silk on one ply of wool or alpaca or other yarn for a unique yarn.
